I have a spreadsheet with a column of names and column of dates. The column of names have duplicate names for same dates. I need to count how many names were on a certain date but my pivot table only sums the name column. I there a way to count the individual names that appear for each date without duplicating them? I think you are supposed to be able to d this in Power Pivot but, I don't know anything about Power Pivot. Below is a sample of the data. Any help would e greatly appreciated

I was looking to count the unique values when using the Pivot Table. I was able to figure out how to do this with Power Pivot. Thanks anyway.
