Hi,
I don't think it's possible but thought I'd check with the wise people on MrExcel.
I have a manual table which I would like the rows to alternate between white and grey. My table includes merged cells so I can't use the built-in 'Format as Table function'.
I have also looked at Conditional Formatting but from what I can gather, it doesn't adjust for if rows are hidden/unhidden (ie. you get two white or two grey rows together).
My table range (excluding the header) is A21:J35.
Is there a way to do this? Thank you

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.

Are your cells horizontally merged only? if yes can't you use center across selection?

If you have a column that always has data in it for each row, you can use a SUBTOTAL formula to give a kind of visible row count, then use that in conjunction with MOD to highlight every other visible row.
