Hi,

I'm trying to come up with a formula that calculates how far we are through the year in percentage.

Right now I have:
Code:
 =YEARFRAC(DATE(YEAR(TODAY()),1,1),TODAY())

But I'm not sure it's working properly. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Mark

Excel Facts

What is the fastest way to copy a formula?
If A2:A50000 contain data. Enter a formula in B2. Select B2. Double-click the Fill Handle and Excel will shoot the formula down to B50000.
G'day Mark,

Add the ,1 (in red below) into your function and you will change the year the YEARFRAC is using from an arbitrary 360 day year to the actual day count for the year (365 for 2019)

=YEARFRAC(DATE(YEAR(TODAY()),1,1),TODAY(),1)

Cheers

who apologises if two responses appear, as the first response posted some 10-15 minutes before this one has not shown up as I post this
