    Default Invisible cells

    Hi folks,
    I ran a Workbook Analysis on a spreadsheet using the Inquire tool (very useful).
    It tells me one of my cells is invisible. Sure enough when I type into the cell the text is hidden.
    I can simply Format Paint from another cell and then my text is visible.
    But I would like to know how this cell has been set as invisible.
    • It's not a white font.
    • It hasn't been formatted as ;;;
    • It is general format
    • I've compared it to the cell below, the one I have used for Format Paint, and it appears to be the same.
    Is there some other clever Excel way of making a cell invisible that I'm unaware of?

    Hi,

    Do you know if the cell had any Conditional Formatting (CF) rules applied?

    CF can format cells as ;;; however looking at the cell from the worksheet perspective you may see the format as "General"
    √-1 2³ ∑ π
    …And it was delicious!

    Good idea, but alas no. No Conditional Formatting anywhere in the spreadsheet.
