Hello,
I've built a spreadsheet to simulate Monte Carlo analysis of investment portfolio returns. Something odd is going on in that when I update an input condition in the spreadsheet (and the random number generators change) in automatic or manual calculation, the data table including the end values all update to reflect the new conditions (i.e. higher/lower average growth rate etc.). However, the formulas referencing the data table seem to be storing old data and don't update to the new data set until I save the file.
For instance, the cells that contain MEDIAN / STDEV / PERCENTRANK / COUNTIF etc do not update to reflect the actual data table but they DO change (as if they are referencing some other data set). Once I save the file the cells all update to accurate reflections of the data table. I am not experienced with using the data table analysis tool so I imagine it has something to do with this but any insight would be very helpful.
