I use concatenate to create a code so I can use vlookup. The source of data comes from 2 separate sheets. The issue is I get two different result using concatenate (i.e. formula = concatenate (A1,B1) which is the date, client's surname. The two different results from the two sheets are:
43369Lake
01/08/2019Lake

This means I can't use vlookup as the codes come out differently. I need to know concatenate formula to get the codes in the same format so vlookup will work. The columns with the dates both say they are in date format.

So just need to be able to convert the date (via formula using concatenate) in one of the sheets so it's the same as the other)

Thanks in advance

You can teach Excel a new custom list. Type the list in cells, File, Options, Advanced, Edit Custom Lists, Import, OK
Try this
