Hello everyone! I just purchased Office 2019. In Excel, where did the small "x" go when closing the current workbook. Each time I open an Excel document, it opens another window in Excel. Is there anyway to go back to having the small "x" to close out the current Workbook and not close out the application each time?

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks!

Scott

Whats the difference between CONCAT and CONCATENATE?
The newer CONCAT function can reference a range of cells. =CONCATENATE(A1,A2,A3,A4,A5) becomes =CONCAT(A1:A5)

Thanks Jambi! That does work...any idea how to open another workbook inside the current application without it opening Excel in a new window each time?

Thanks!

That will still open the new workbook in another window.

You cannot open two or more xl files in the same window anymore. No matter how you try.
Xl switched from MDI to SDI with version 2013.
