Cell B1 in Sheet 3

=[FONT=Verdana,Arial,Tahoma,Calibri,Geneva,sans-serif]A(MATCH('Sheet1'!A55,'Sheet2'!A1:A28,0))

Suppose the MATCH formula produces the number 8
How do I make it so that the whole formula points to cell A8

Want to be able to use it in other formulas and point to cell A8

Excel Facts

VLOOKUP to Left?
Use =VLOOKUP(A2,CHOOSE({1,2},$Z$1:$Z$99,$Y$1:$Y$99),2,False) to lookup Y values to left of Z values.
Ok I think I did it but I need to be able to link it to a cell in another sheet. My formula:

=(INDIRECT("A"&(MATCH('Summary by region'!A62,'PV Vol'!A:A,0)-1),1))

The above formula finds A7 in the current sheet

How do I make it find A7 of a sheet of my choosing, say, Sheet33?

Try:

=INDIRECT("Sheet33!A"&(MATCH('Summary by region'!A62,'PV Vol'!A:A,0)-1),1)

or

=INDEX(Sheet33!$A:$A,MATCH('Summary by region'!A62,'PV Vol'!A:A,0)-1)
