What is the shortcut key for Format Selection?
Ctrl+1 (the number one) will open the Format dialog for whatever is selected.
How about
Code:
Sub andy124()
   Dim Wb As Workbook
   Application.ScreenUpdating = False
   Set Wb = Workbooks.Open(ThisWorkbook.Path & "\sample1.xlsx")
   Wb.Sheets("Sheet1").Cells.Clear
   Wb.Close True
End Sub
