formula needs to:
compare date in one cell to that of another, and if that date is greater by 30 days than that date, then true.

My previous formula was similar to this, but it just looked at today's date and if that was greater than 30 days, then it was true.

But now I need that same formula but instead of comparing it to today's date, I just need it to compare it to the date that is entered into the cell...

previous formula:

=F10<(TODAY()-30)

This formula compares the date that is in F10 and if that date is older by 30 days or more than todays date, then its true.

Now how do i get it instead to compare the date NOT to today's date, but a preexisting date that is entered into another cell (F12) ? So it would just compare the date in F10 to that of a date in F12, and if F10 is older than F12 by 30 days, then true?(?)

I think I need " =DATE " to start the formula, but I cant figure out the correct way to enter that formula without getting a error saying its not entered correctly.

Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
Re: need help with conditional formatting date formula

How about
=F10< F12-30
