I need to find the sum of 2 numbers and those numbers could either be plus or minus. How would a formula be written for that?

Not sure if I'm asking the question well, so I'm after this:

Example:
A1 = .0695
A2 = -.0010
Answer = .0685

A1= -.0695
A2 = -.0010
Answer = -.0750

So, A1 and A2 can have a plus or minus in its column at any time.

Thanks for any help with this!

Regards,

Paul

Excel Facts

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
Thanks for the reply and LOL!

...Right after I sent this question I realized I was over-thinking it! I mean, how about just add the numbers? Duh!

I had just tried to figure out the signed difference between two numbers if either were plus or minus, which is an extra step...

Anyway, thanks!
