Subtotal in the last row of table

Hi everyone

I have a table of data for users to filter as necessary, therefore instead of having a sum total at the last row of my table, I put in =subtotal(9,G4:G565) for about 10 columns. However when I filter the data, the last row with subtotal doesn't show after filter.

Please have I done anything wrong? Thanks.

Did you add a Totals row to the table, or just add the formulas as a new row?

I just added it as a total row. However I noticed when I put in the subtotal formula with a blank row gap between the last row and the subtotal row, then the subtotal row appears after filtering. So I think my problem is now resolved. Thanks for getting back to me so quick.

I just added it as a total row.

If you mean using the 'Total Row' option on the Design tab of Table tools, then that behaviour shouldn't occur. If you just typed the formulas in, then Excel defaults to assuming it's just a row of data.
