Is there a way that you can conditionally format a data bar to a different colour, depending on value? So if it was '0-34%' it would be red, '35-75%' it would be amber etc. ?

I don't want to make a bar graph as this information is in a table. I have seen a few instructions on how to do this using VBA, but they weren't very clear for someone who's just started using it! Can anyone help??

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).
when you say data bar, are you talking about the cell? If so that can be performed with conditional formatting.

No not the cell, I have a data bar within the cell through conditional formatting that shows the percentage completion of a task. I don't want the whole cell to be coloured, just the data bar itself if this makes sense? I would upload a screenshot but I cannot do it on my computer.
