Hi,

I have a range of data (a few thousand rows and a dozen columns) in a workbook that I update each month by pasting over with the latest version of the data that I receive in an .xlsx file in email.

The number of columns is unchanged from month to month but the number of rows may change.

I would like to convert the range in my workbook to an Excel Table.

Does this present a problem when I need to update the Table each month using the file mentioned above?

Will, for example, the range of the Table expand or contract according to the number of rows that I paste over the existing data?

And is there anything tricky that I should be aware of?

Thanks!

Ambidextrous Undo
Undo last command with Ctrl+Z or Alt+Backspace. If you use the Undo icon in the QAT, open the drop-down arrow to undo up to 100 steps.
Yes it will automatically expand & contract with data that is pasted. I always paste as values when copying from another sheet or workbook.
Note that if you reference rows or columns from that table then you will work with table nomenclature in your formulas.
