Hi

I have a spreadsheet with dates in it. I want to add a value for each date of 1 and the cells without dates a value of 0. How do I write the formula for this

Excel Facts

Shade all formula cells
To shade all formula cells: Home, Find & Select, Formulas to select all formulas. Then apply a light fill color.
Try

Code:
=IF(ISNUMBER(A1),1,0)

. When using " =IF(ISNUMBER(A1),1,0) " I get an error message, see below.
The formula you typed contains an error.

Are you using a European or Asian version of Excel that uses semi-colons (;) instead of commas (,) as formula argument separators?
If so, replace all the commas in the formula with semi-colons.
