Worksheet search including tab names

Hi, I currently have an Excel spreadsheet that has multiple tabs and I am trying to find a way to make the first page be a search page that includes the tabs as searchable. So, for example, lets say each tab is named different states and then there is data in those worksheets from those states (say, population of each city). How can I make the first page a searchable worksheet where I can find "Colorado" in a drop down menu and then find "Alamosa" from another drop down and then see information about Alamosa? Is that even possible? If it isn't, does anyone know another program that might be more conducive to filtering this type of information?
Let me know if you have additional questions!
Thank you in advance!

Excel Facts

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).
You could provide ample examples of how your information is on each sheet and what you expect from the result.

You could upload a copy of your file to a free site such www.dropbox.com. Once you do that, mark it for 'Sharing' and you will be given a link to the file that you can post here. If the workbook contains confidential information, you could replace it with generic data.

It's okay, I have already moved on to a different workaround. It will take me longer on the back end, but overall, the result for end users will be the same (and easier for them to understand).
Thank you for your help!
