I need a formula that will look at the dates in a column and if between X and Y then sum(range)

I am working on calculating quarterly totals, so I want it to look in colA for date between 01/01/2019 and 03/31/2019 then add that range totals from column E

Excel Facts

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.

Conditional Formatting can only run off of values, not off of other formatting.
If the dates in column A are turned green by Conditional Formatting, you should just be able to use the same conditions that turned them green.

Did you take a look at the link I provided in my first reply?
Here is one that might be a little better, as they hard-code the dates right in the formula (instead of using cell references that hold the dates).
https://www.spreadsheetweb.com/how-to-sum-values-between-two-dates/
You should be able to set yours up exactly the same way, so just follow that model.
