Hello, I have applied conditional formatting to a range ofcells, for example A1 to D1 and the cells are colour coded based on the value.
I am now struggling as the cells in A2 to D2 need to be formattedin the same colour, is there a way to Link the colour format ? SO effectively A1 and A2 would need to be thesame colour, even though the cells hold different data. The colour is dependant purely on value inrow 1
Hope in all my searching I have not missed somethingobvious.

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
How are you colour coding row 1
- is it ONE CF rule (which applies different colours)
- is it SEVERAL CF rules (one for each colour)

Each cell has three options green amber or red, so 3 rules for each cell

thanks

3 rules for each cell

Have you created 3 rules for EACH cell (in your example 3 X A1,B1,C1,D1) = 12 rules
OR
3 rules in total for the whole range A1:D1

If you select A1:D2 then apply the rules & lock the row number in the formula, it should highlight both rows.
