Hello.
new to here
need some help with checkbox and conditional formatting, ill explain my problem.

i have a column, eg A, which has dates in, so different dates in each cell in column A
i have set some conditional formatting to change the colour of the cells in A depending on the proximity of the date. red if its past, orange if its within the next week, yellow if its further than a week in the future etc...

my next column, eg B, has checkboxes in each cell next to the date cell. when the box is checked/ticked, it auto fills todays date into the adjacent cell in the column C.

when the checkbox is checked, i want to override any conditional formatting on column A and turn the corresponding cell in column A green.
any ideas how i can do this?

any help greatly appreciated

Excel Facts

Format cells as currency
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+4 to format cells as currency. (Shift 4 is the $ sign).
If column C always empty before checkbox is checked then ....
... create a further CF rule applying to column A which formats column A green if column C contains a value > 0
