Hi,

I have two workbooks. Both have one sheet with identical structure. So, for workbook 2, I just copied the sheet from workbook 1. There after I made amendments to workbook 2 formulas. These two workbooks are not required to be linked in any way. But every time I open workbook 2, I get a dialogue box asking me if I want to update the link.

I tried to get rid of this from Data Tab by 'Break Links' option but it does not work. Here to be mentioned that I also have some shapes in my worksheet.

How can I get rid of the external links?

TIA

Excel Facts

Round to nearest half hour?
Use =MROUND(A2,"0:30") to round to nearest half hour. Use =CEILING(A2,"0:30") to round to next half hour.
Do these shapes perhaps contain links to outside sources?

Graphs are also a good place for external links to hide. ;)

No, I checked. Those shapes are not linked. I do not have any graphs as well.
