Macros disappeared!

Hi

I have a reoccurring issue with a daily EXCEL file I prepare.

Quite often I will open the file after it has been prepared earlier, and all the macros that were stored in the workbook will have disappeared.

Any suggestions for how I can rectify this situation?

Kind Regards

Highlight Duplicates
Home, Conditional Formatting, Highlight Cells, Duplicate records, OK to add pink formatting to any duplicates in selected range.
I'm not sure- most of them are in Module 2- i seem to have 87 different modules but most of the macros are in module 2.

I have taken any notice of where I have saved them previously, its a file that has been worked on piecemeal for a few years, I'm ok writing VBA but there's a lot about VBA that I don't understand, especially about how it is structured.

Hope that makes sense/ gives a bit of background!

My concern is if you have more than one workbook open is are you storing them in a module in the correct workbook (or even in the personal workbook).

I'm fairly sure I am storing them in the correct workbook- I create a new file each day from the previous days file- I can't see any links to previous dates.

I always store the macros in the actual workbook, not the personal macro book.

Afraid at the moment if you are storing the code in the correct modules and the file is being saved as an xlsm I can't think of any reason why the code would disappear.... sorry.
