Hi,
I'm using this really cool function in 32 bit Excel.
It says I should not alter it.. but even if I try by just adding ptrsafe I can't get it to work.
Is there a another similar routine I could use in 64 bit environment?
Any help appreciated. Here is the full function.

Excel Facts

How to fill five years of quarters?
Type 1Q-2023 in a cell. Grab the fill handle and drag down or right. After 4Q-2023, Excel will jump to 1Q-2024. Dash can be any character.
Try this :
Code:
Option Explicit

Where is the hWndAccessApp declared ? It doesn't show in the code you posted .

Wherever that variable is declared, it needs to be defined as LongPtr too or simply replace the variable with a 0 when calling the apiShellExecute function.

Thank you very much Jaafar, that's all working nicely. Stran0egly in the 32 bit code, clicking Definition on hWndAccessApp
shows its "not Recognised" Yet no error... in the above, as you say, I needed the '0'.
