What is wrong with this code to insert a formula?

Code:
ThisWorkbook.Worksheets("CSS_quote_sheet").Range("M11").Formula "=IF(D11<3,3,D11)"

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
Missing an equals sign.

Code:
ThisWorkbook.Worksheets("CSS_quote_sheet").Range("M11").Formula [COLOR=#0000ff][B]=[/B][/COLOR] "=IF(D11<3,3,D11)"

You're missing an "=" after the word formula

Code:
ThisWorkbook.Worksheets("CSS_quote_sheet").Range("M11").Formula = "=IF(D11<3,3,D11)"
