Filtering

I have a large list of entries (>2500). I would like to be able to search a column for a particular reference number, say 04800-00. This number may appear by itself in a cell, or as part of a list of numbers in a cell. Is there a way to get a macro that will prompt me for a value, search for that value, and then only display those entries with that number (like a filter)?

Format cells as time
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+2 to format cells as time. (Shift 2 is the @ sign).
You should be able to use the advanced autofilter command. Follow the rules Excel's help to use it. It's pretty cool since it hides the rows that you filter out.
