Is it possible to format a date (14-march-01) to display only the year, ie 2001 in this case?

Thanks

Excel Facts

Move date out one month or year
Use =EDATE(A2,1) for one month later. Use EDATE(A2,12) for one year later.
Hi -

Give this a try:

1. Right click on the cell you want to format;
2. Choose Format Cells;
3. Select the Custom option;
4. Instead of choosing one of the selections, type yyyy in the field under the word "Type:";

This should do it for you.

Frank
