How to include font and colour when referencing a cell

I have a row of cells filled with data. Some are black, some are red, adn some are bolded numbers. I'm referencing these cells (ie. typing =a40, then dragging that formula accross). I want the numbers I reference (copy?) to also have the font/colour of the cells I have referenced. Mine are all appearing with regular font/colour. I can't hard code the cell with the desired font/colour as it will be changing. Any ideas??
Thanks!!

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
