Assuming you really only have 2 columns:

    In c1, type: Dupes
    In c2, type: =a2&b2
    In c3, type: =if(a3&b3=c2,"dupe","")

Copy c3 down all the rest of the rows.

Select only the populated cells in column 3. Copy them. Don't move cursor. Hit Edit-Paste special, Values, Ok.
Click on C2 and hit the ZA (descending) sort button. Delete all rows that say *dupe*. Re-sort how you like.

    Hi Anonymous and Dreamboat:
With the setup provided by Dreamboat, I suggest the following change ...
    in cell C1 Dupes

    then in cell C2 =if(b1=b2,"Dupe",b2)

and then copy/drag down as far a syou need to

and you will end up with:
    1 aa aa
    1 aa Dupe
    2 bb bb
    2 bb Dupe
    2 bb Dupe
    3 cc cc
    3 cc Dupe

    Regards!

also, advanced filter / copy unique values / to another location is an option

(depending on available worksheet space, obviously)

    Hey Buddy Chris:
You are right I did see this question before, but just as I was ready to post, my network went kaput, so it was several hours later that I got to it again ... You are a tough Task Master man!
