Microsoft has three updates for Microsoft Office 97 that will speed up closing, saving and opening files. The updates are SR-1, SR-2 and SR2b. It helped us !
 

Excel Facts

Add Bullets to Range
Select range. Press Ctrl+1. On Number tab, choose Custom. Type Alt+7 then space then @ sign (using 7 on numeric keypad)
