protecting a sheet with sheet altering code

I'd like to add protection to a sheet, but the sheet includes code that hides and unhides rows depending on certain conditions that change periodically? Any suggestions?

In case anyone's interested, I solved my problem by figuring out how to add the code for sheet protection on and off around the sheet altering code.
