I know, I know, this is a stupid question, and you're wondering why would I ever want to do this, but is there any way to generate a sound (say a wav file) when you initially open an Excel document?

Thanks.

OK, I don't usually do this, but beer is at stake.

Send me the .wav file at this address:

(got your file. I removed my email address from here)

I'll either email a workbook back with the code, or I can tell you exactly what's going wrong. Hopefully.

I won't tell anyone if you don't.

Excel Facts

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.

I put that whole message there because there's no point in solving people's problems by private message. Private messages defeat the purpose of the message board.

Mark you did exactly the same thing you were complaning about I was following your thread and the outcome was not resolved I know it was a long time ago.but hay!

Pixelpisher, thanks for digging this up after three years.

There is a pretty clearly defined solution in the thread. iibobii was a complete novice and could not get the solution to work due to some semantic problem like the object was named "Object 4" and not "Object4".

If you have a specific question or you have a particular problem with applying the solution yourself then post a question instead of having a dig at me.

Mark hope there’s no hard feelings I was just in a hurry to find a solution and I had followed several other threads without an outcome
