thanks for the lead on the calculated items. I now have all the calculations I need, but I'm running into an issue with the speed of calculations when I make changes to the field.

Is there anyway to increase the speed? Also, is there a way to surpress the calculated item for specific months?

Excel Facts

What is the shortcut key for Format Selection?
Ctrl+1 (the number one) will open the Format dialog for whatever is selected.

Speed of calculations? Do you mean Refresh? What's the nature of your "changes to the field"? What field are you referring to?

No.

I'm speaking about the time it takes to refresh the calculated item in the pivot table. Is there anyway to increase the speed?
