Have put a windows style button on to my excel sheet but when i right click i don't get the option to assign a macro. What am i doing wrong?

Last used cell?
Press Ctrl+End to move to what Excel thinks is the last used cell.
Did you get the button from the Control Toolbox? If so, try drawing one from the Forms toolbar instead
