Blank but not empty cells

Hi,
I have imported data from an external file into excel. Some of the cells seems to be blank but obviously not empty!!
They have length (4) and they do not "behave" as empty cells.
How can I transform them to blanks?

Hi
I've just discovered that if you put * and press the space bar once in the find-what box (tick the find-entire-cells only box) you can replace all cells that just contain spaces, no matter how many spaces. What's interesting is it does not seem to affect text which is preceded by or separated by spaces. I guess that could be useful.

Excel Facts

Repeat Last Command
Pressing F4 adds dollar signs when editing a formula. When not editing, F4 repeats last command.
