How can I automatically hide items in a Pivot table?

I've got a pivot table that has "Date" as one of the fields in the 'Page' section. The users want to be able to choose a date range for the data without having to manually double-clicking on the field and hiding certain values. So far I've set up a messge box set up to get the beginning and ending date from the user. I then use a for loop to go through (one at a time) and set the display to false if the date isn't in the range that has been selected. My source data is pretty large (it's actually linked to an ODBC database), so it can take a few minutes to make all of the changes.

Is there a way to "batch" all of my hide statements?
