Anyone can help with copying web pages that have html data tables into excel fast, and without distoring the data. I need the data to be in separate columns in Excel to sort and analyze....the stright out copy and paste on excel, and then recopying that as text onto another excel spreadsheet is too time consuming...anybody know how to speed it up?
Thanks Millions!

Excel Facts

Why does 9 mean SUM in SUBTOTAL?
It is because Sum is the 9th alphabetically in Average, Count, CountA, Max, Min, Product, StDev.S, StDev.P, Sum, VAR.S, VAR.P.
Can anybody help, or do I need to be more specific or is it just impossible to speed things up??
*frustrated*

try this:
Try copying the data from the web onto notepad, then copy that onto excel.
Dividing data into columns in a spreadsheet.

Note: All data moved to a spreadsheet is put into the first (one) column of the spreadsheet program. Thus, to make it more useable the data must be spread over separate columns.

To convert it into columns in Excel:

Highlight the first column of data by clicking and dragging the cells of the first column.
Click on Data on the top menu bar and select Text to Columns...
Click on Fixed width in the resulting dialog box, then click Next near the box's bottom.
In the next box click in the data where you want a column divider (vertical line) if none exists. If one is already there click and drag it to move it or double click it to remove it. (Also stated in the box.)
Click Finished to create the new spreadsheet.

Its not the perfect solution but can be quite useful.
