I have a cell that contains a string, part of which I want to do a test on. Something like this "Next Grade 178359". I want to check the 6 digit number, not the text. I know this can be done in VBA, I just can't think this morning. Please help...

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.

Assuming it's always the last six digits,

=RIGHT(A1,6)
