changing date formats

Hi.. We received a spreadsheet that has columns of dates in the 020311 format, and I would like to change them to the 03/11/02 or 03/11/2002 format. soo frustrated - please help me!!

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.

In an adjacent column put this formula (assumes your 020311 is in cell A1):

=DATE(LEFT(A1,2),MID(A1,3,2),RIGHT(A1,2))

This will create a date that you can copy and Paste|Special|Values over-writing your original data.
