I have two ranges a2:a25 and b1:z1 I want cell b1 =a2 and c1 =a3 and so on.
Is there any short way to do this!

Excel Facts

Ambidextrous Undo
Undo last command with Ctrl+Z or Alt+Backspace. If you use the Undo icon in the QAT, open the drop-down arrow to undo up to 100 steps.

You can copy, then paste special, transpose.

Or, you could select b1:z1 (yes, the whole range), and type in the following formula:

=TRANSPOSE(A2:A25)

and before you press enter, type Ctrl+Shift+Enter instead (this is an array formula).

Hope this helps,

Russell,

THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

I was wondering the same thing and have been trying to figure this function out for the past hour. Excel's Help does a POOR job of explaining how to use this function (they missed the CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER part).
