Question
I am trying to sort a spreadsheet. However, after I insert an empty column to the right of the sorting column, the rest of the columns on the right of the empty column can't sort anymore. This also happens to the left columns
How could I solve this problem ???
Thanks in advance

Round to nearest half hour?
Use =MROUND(A2,"0:30") to round to nearest half hour. Use =CEILING(A2,"0:30") to round to next half hour.
How does it work?
Do you mean select 2 cells one from sorting column and the other one from inserted column?
I tried it but it didn't let me sort
sorry maybe I misunderstood your answer

If you insert a column between column A and B (the previous column B becomes C) select A:C prior to a sort on either column A or C.
