I copied many columns of numerical data from a website into excel, even though the numerical data is in separate columns, excel is treating the numbers as text-I can't format it or use the data in calculations or formulas....can anyone help to convert them into numbers for use on Excel.
Thanks in advance...
Mary

Hi guys, thank you all for replying and helping. I just figured out how to convert the html data on Excel to numerical data myself....by accident I might add.
All I did was copy and paste the data to notebook and saved it as .txl, then opened it with word. Then do a copy and paste special as text back to Excel. Now all the data is in numerical format!
Try it for yourself people...its quite an easy and clean way to do it.
THANKS ALL..AGAIN!!
Mary :)
