Hi,

In Excel 97 I create a simple conditional formating based on a Formula "=IF(A1=A2,TRUE,FALSE)" applying in the Cell B2.
When the condition is true, the cell B2 take the right format.

But in Excel 2002, the format of cell B2 doesn't change ...
Do I miss something?? Is it a known problem??

If someone has an idea ...

Excel Facts

How to create a cell-sized chart?
Tiny charts, called Sparklines, were added to Excel 2010. Look for Sparklines on the Insert tab.
Hi Alx
I do not have Excel 2002 but you might just try A1=A2 in your conditional formatting, makes sure it doesn't automatically put quotes round it.
Hope this helps

Derek,

those automatic quotes used to send me dizzier than the flying doctor : just prefix the formula with "=" and they go away

so : =a1=a2

etc seems to work
