Defeat VLOOKUP on save (????)

Prices change...so when I save a "bid" worksheet that references VLOOKUP (which resides on a different workbook), I want the values to change to fixed, rather than remain relative to the VLOOKUP doc. That way, after prices change, I can look up an old bid and it will still have the prices quoted at the time of original entry.

Any suggestions?
