Hi

Excel already has add in autosave which you can activate, if you have poper copy of Excel, and the disk may be needed, this can be set easy via tools bar.

Also in VBA can be called fron ONTIME command...

But to answer.

Not many of us Exceller know Word and Excel are ver different in workings, forget word processings and maths spreadsheets, but in workings, i mean take save Word have very advanced technology to do this thus autoorecoveries files you can get, Excel DONT.

The way Word saves is very powerful and complex it "ontheflys" saves excel dont, excel crunch saves so now recovery files.

Assesnment Excel save is poor, remember to BACK up can be custon to set save as and back up at same time evey X minutes...

ALWAYS BACK UP and ALWAYS ALWAYS hit Ctrl+S every 10 seconds or less (i really mean As Much A poss) as you work, or leave desk

I have been told Microsoft have sorted emproved the technologys to save in Excel but XP has not got to Word 97 standards yet, ... maybe soon...
