Help.. I have a pipe delimited ascii file I tried to import with no success, some of the data gets converted by excel. SO.. I have cut and pasted the entire document into a worksheet, I have highlighted ALL cells and formated them as "text" so that my data doesnt get converted and changed.
As I do the "text to columns" Excel converts my data as if I hadn't formatted the cells at all.

HELP!

thanks!

You can teach Excel a new custom list. Type the list in cells, File, Options, Advanced, Edit Custom Lists, Import, OK
