    Has anyone ever used excel directly (or VBA) to query a MySQL databse? Is it possible?

    Do you have the MySQL ODBC driver?

    True ODBC will do this, unless large file sizes... SQL is fine but ill be blunt, MSQuery is fine for mick mouse stuff, but as a dtatbase and download skills, we must thank Microsoft for such wonderful developments NOT!

    If big.. Access or FoxPro will be better, over ODBC link..

    My darling Excel gets stroppy, she dont like it...

    Just in case..... telling my directors as i have this is&^$^- )$^*!^$* )$&*!& is not easy, and to say Excel is sulking is not very techi in the IT world

    ... If you program in SQL.. Fox is strongest if thats of help
