Problem:

Workbook A with charts has links to workbook B and will only update when both files are open. This is fine when local people are trying to view from network, when workbook A is emailed and parties do not have access to workbook B how do I send workbook A out so update is not necessary and #value error is not shown?

Excel Facts

Last used cell?
Press Ctrl+End to move to what Excel thinks is the last used cell.
You could ask the recipients to set their calculation options (under Tools/ Options) to Manual and uncheck 'Recalculate before save'. Obviously they will not be able to F9 without losing everything to the #Value!

Alternativly paste/special/ values into a new workbook, then there's no chance of the error.

Thank you.

The manual option works great.

What I noticed is, if I save the file before emailing with the manual update option, things are all good and the end user didnt have to do anything but open the file...
