Does anyone know if there is a customer format I can use to change the percent value of a cell to basis points? I tried creating my own, but was having difficulty. For example, if the cell value in A1 is 2%, I would like to have it say 200 basis points instead.

Thanks.

Excel Facts

When did Power Query debut in Excel?
Although it was an add-in in Excel 2010 & Excel 2013, Power Query became a part of Excel in 2016, in Data, Get & Transform Data.
I do not believe there is (would love to be proved wrong, however) - the closest I could get to it was to use a format like:

0%%

If you use this and input 0.02 then it displays as:

200%%

which isn't really ideal.

atgordon,

Did you try to change your formula to multiply by 10000 and then format as a number? That's our workaround!

multiply the % by 10000 and right click, format cell, under Numbers Tab click on custom and add the code below code under Type:

0 "bps";(0 "bps");-
