Hi everyone. I am having trouble getting drop down boxes to work in Excel 97. What I want to do is when someone clicks or arrows into a certain cell, have a drop down box appear for them to choose one of the items. I have tried doing it with the form toolbar, but can't seem to get that to work, tried it with data validation, which will work until I close and reopen, then it disappears. Can anyone help. Please.

Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.
Hi judygal

You say that once you close and re-open, the Validation list is gone. I have to ask 2 obvious questions.

1. Are you saving?
2. Do you click back in the cell with the Valdidation?
