I have a main worksheet with data that needs to be sorted and copied to new worksheets. The new worksheets must be linked to the main worksheet so that all updates made automatically appear in each page.

I would like to filter sort the main worksheet to find each category that needs to be set up in new worksheets.

The method I am using is:
1 Filter sort the data in the main spreadsheet by category required
2 Opening new worksheet and entering in cell A3 =mainspreadsheet!A3 - this is successfully copying the data I need

The problem I have is that when I copy the formula down it does not copy filtered data it carries on to cell A4 then A5 etc.

How can I copy the formula for the filtered info only.

Excel Facts

Fastest way to copy a worksheet?
Hold down the Ctrl key while dragging tab for Sheet1 to the right. Excel will make a copy of the worksheet.
I hope I understand what you want. In your master sheet, autofilter and select the category you want to link to, then hight light all the desired data, select your other sheet, and use paste special, and push the Paset Link button. Is this what you're after?
