Here is my delema,
I am a college student and I am trying to compare an excel document from Nationals for my Fraternity with one from my school. The document is a name of Alumni and I am trying to update their addresses through the school. Is there anyway for me to automate the search - taking a name from the Nationals document and getting the info from the one from the school? I need the name from the nationals list and all of the info from the school....
Hope this makes sense
Hope you can help
Thanks
Tommy

Excel Facts

Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple
Sounds like "Vlookup" may provide the solution? Can you be more specific with data layout on spreadsheets?

Regards

Lee

Thanks for the response

I'm not sure exactly of the format because I am still waiting to atain them. I know that the format from our Nationals is going to have columns that are labled Name, Address, city, state, zip and phone number. I want to take the name out of the first column and search for it from my copy from school. Once I find their name I want all of the information from that row.

I hope this helps and thanks for your help
